URBAN OUTREACH

ART IS FOR EVERYONE!!

The CBLA Urban Outreach Program provides children from socioeconomically disadvantaged areas of Los Angeles ballet training at no cost.

Urban Outreach currently reaches over 500 children annually through the Elementary School Partnership Program which takes ballet into the public elementary school curriculum, and its Professional Training Program which offers 30 full scholarships to study at CBLA's home base at the Salvation Army Red Shield Youth & Community Center.

The children in these programs are being groomed to have the opportunity to pursue a professional dance career. It is a fact that minority areas simply do not offer the kind of classical training that will enable their students to enter the ranks of most companies. Through our program these students can compete with their peers at a national level.

HOW TO APPLY

If you are interested in enrolling your school in the Urban Outreach Program, please contact CBLA at 323.292.1932 or email mmason@cityballetofla.org.
